Johnson & Johnson Appears to Have More Lawsuits than Drugs in Their Pipeline
Over the last few years, Johnson and Johnson has created a huge and growing list of lawsuits. The most recent include:
- Recently purchased Synthes wrongful death lawsuits
- Lawsuit by their own shareholders for irresponsible business practices
- defective hips that require additional surgery
- Medicare/Medicaid fraud
- Price fixing litigation in China
- Pfizer sues J&J for patent infringement, not to be confused with the patent infringement for the medicated heart stents by Dr. Bruce Saffran
- bribery in Greece, Poland, Romania and Iraq
- annnnnd violating FDA marketing codes with false and misleading advertising of a harmful drug.
All corporations have only one source of income: the customer. Without customers, there is no income. All of these settlements for wrongdoing by Johnson & Johnson, were ultimately paid by the customers through increased prices for Johnson & Johnson consumer goods, medical devices, medical diagnostic equipment and pharmaceutical products. So, while William Weldon is Wallowing in the lap of luxury afforded by more that $150 million for retirement after making around $150 million through his career - that's more than $300 million we paid with increased product and pharmaceutical products and health insurance to cover hospital equipment, and the rest of the executives at Johnson and Johnson never see a pay cut of their million or so per year - the customers of Johnson and Johnson, you, me, our families and our friends, suffer the increased prices for goods to pay off settlements for lies, bribes, patent infringement and so on - and that's in addition to their outrageous salaries.
